For Tenderness!, Caravansérail invites the feminist library l’Ananas to take over the Center’s documentation space. Chosen for the way they echo Tenderness!’s programming, a selection of books, zines and other publications will be available for consultation. This specially curated collection will also extend to the library’s space which is located at UQAR, connecting the two initiatives through books and ideas.
Biographie
L’Ananas was born in 2018 in an effort to make accessible alternative literature and documents that address a multitude of feminist issues. The library wishes to offer more visibility to authors who are engaged in feminist struggles and to raise awareness of feminist issues in the community of Rimouski and its surroundings. Linked to the feminist committee of the University of Quebec in Rimouski (UQAR), L’Ananas is a space that is accessible to the entire population of the Lower-Saint-Laurent.

À travers une quinzaine d’activités, Tendresse! explore les contours des isolements - sociaux, géographiques, artistiques - qui délimitent nos façons d’être, d’interagir et de nous soutenir. Rejetant les universalismes qui tendent à aplatir les iniquités, Tendresse! affirme plutôt que c’est dans l’addition de nos singularités, dans le foisonnement des spécificités que l’on peut construire le commun.
